As part of the 2018 New Product Awards winners, five of the 18 earning recognition this year were within the video category.
Of the five to earn winning honors, the one to earn the best video product among the nine entrants this year, was Ross Video’s Carbonite Mosaic Video Image Processor.

Aside from the Ross Video processor, other products earning New Product Awards in the video category were the Leyard® VVR Series flat-panel display, the BenQ LU951ST Blue Core short-throw laser projector, EasyWorship 7 presentation software and AJA Video KONA HDMI.
Notable among the four, for example, is with the BenQ projector, is how it is ideal for flexible short-throw installations, producing quality images courtesy of WUXGA. With the BlueCore laser light source, the projector provides 20,000 hours of guaranteed maintenance free output.
With DLP picture quality, the projector includes highly adjustable horizontal and vertical lens shift, 360-degree projection and digital image resizing with memory.

To help simplify maintenance with any individual cabinet of the VVR Series, all electronic components are contained in a single compartment on the back of the LED cabinet. For those seeking the right model of cabinet, there are four indoor models, ranging from 2.5mm to 5.9mm for pixel pitch, while there are six outdoor models, ranging from 2.9mm to 10.4mm pixel pitch.
For the presentation software category, Easy Worship 7 stood out, with its ability to help churches build an entire church service, beginning with song lyrics, Scriptures, announcements, videos, to sermon notes. Working with local users in your network, the software is helpful in sharing song lyrics, media, as well as presentations.
With Easy Worship, it works with a wide array of video formats, including MP4 M4V, MOV and WMV, allowing one to avoiding the unnecessary step of having to convert using third-party codecs.
Lastly is AJA Video’s KONA HDMI, a multi-channel HDMI video capture card.
The card is incredibly flexible in handling the various needs, ranging from streaming, live events switching, or post and broadcast, among others.
Whether one wants to use the card to handle the high-quality video capture for a single channel, up to 4K/UltraHD 60, or needing to work with up to four channels, capturing up to 2K/HD 60p.
With the HDMI connectivity, it serves as a solid choice for developers to handle multi-channel HDMI ingest, switching and monitoring.
