Morris designed and installed an all fiber-based digital audio system in Green Acres Baptist Church, which is a Southern Baptist megachurch located in Tyler, TX.
This audio system design and installation project is unique in three primary ways:
1. All Fiber-Based, Digital Audio System
In order to achieve Green Acres Baptist Church's long term goals, the Morris team designed and installed an all fiber-based, digital audio system, which includes analog tie-line redundancies throughout. This system not only allows audio to be shared in all campus locations, but it also makes the system future proof with regard to channel expansion for years to come. This fiber-based system also streamlined the church's rack and infrastructure footprint and sets the church up to begin broadcasting and to add additional mix positions and instruments in the future.

2. d&b audiotechnik V-Series Audio System Design & Installation
In order to provide consistent, even sound to everyone in the 4,500-seat worship center, Morris installed a d&b audiotechnik V-Series audio system with array processing. Because of the array processing, there is only one dB of loss between the front and back rows, creating a more intimate worship space for the large congregation.
3. Large Scale Without Comprise
Green Acres Baptist Church seats 4,500 people in its primary worship center. The church's campus also includes a separate 1,500-seat chapel, full-service convention center, 128-track recording studio, gymnasium, and broadcast suite. It is estimated that 10% of the county's population attends Green Acres Baptist Church.
In order to accomplish the church's goals, the Morris team employed the highest-quality gear and the latest industry techniques throughout the process. Green Acres now has one of the largest Solid State Logic integrations in the house of worship market with 256 channels of input and 256 channels of output. As part of the aforementioned all fiber-based network, the Morris team laid over a mile of fiber and equipped the campus with a Dante recording network featuring 192 channels at 96k.
Morris also equipped the Green Acres team with sixteen Digital Audio Labs Live Mix mixers, giving the musicians the ability to create their own mix in real-time. Lastly, Morris chose leading microphone manufacturers Shure and Earthworks for the main worship center and the Yamaha Nuage system for the 128-channel recording studio.
