Securitron R100 Surface Mounted Wireless Reader

Glass doors get a bump up in security level

Securitron, an Assa Abloy Group company, announces the R100 Surface Mounted Wireless Reader, a recipient of the 2013 ASIS Accolades Awards, a program organized to recognize security's most innovative products, services and solutions.

The Securitron R100 Surface Mounted Wireless Reader offers an elegant way to extend access control to glass, stone, granite or marble entryways oftentimes found in houses of worship. The R100 uses wireless communication between the reader and an Aperio hub to connect to the access control system. Installation of the R100 is reportedly convenient, with no drilling or pulling of wires to the door required. Assa Abloy reports that the unit can also be adhered to the outside of a glass door in a few minutes.
