The Plura PBM-4K series is a multi-format 4K/UHD-capable monitor series, suitable for UHD/4K, 3G broadcast systems, and other applications. The series was designed and engineered for simple operation and future flexibility, with a platform is built around a FPGA chipset. The core of this platform is based on fully programmable architecture, and future additional features and functionalities will be implemented via the Ethernet interface.
The series comes in multiple sizes (24", 32", 43", 55", 65", and 84") and supports up to 4,096x2,160 resolutions. Its HDR display capabilities support PQ (ST-2084) and HLG standards. The products will also support SMPTE 2082 and other earlier industry standards. Additional features include two 12G/3G/HD-SDI inputs with active loop, one SFP slot to support multiple IP and fiber I/O standards, and one HDMI 2.0 port.
The series will also feature the traditional software-redefined feature set built into most Plura monitors, including intelligent connections for calibration alignment, adjustable colormetry, gamma correction, and audio monitoring, all accessible from a menu offering straightforward navigation. Using Plura's ICAC tool, production staff can automatically calibrate multiple color-related elements across the entire monitor network over IP, including the 4K Series. This ensures that the 4K Series is quickly recalibrated to its reference standard, returning optimal brightness and color consistency for demanding 4K workflows.
Another new product, the 4KXpress is a multi-format and multi-protocol video processor, appropriate for UHD/4K, 3G broadcast systems. The platform is built around an Xilinx FPGA chipset. The commanding bi-directional 12G-SDI ports and HDMI4K source/sink architecture make this video processor customizable for various formats and protocol conversion applications. The processor ships standard as bi-directional 12G to and from quad SDI (SQ or 2SI).
