Multiple Auditoriums, Maximum Integration

Multiple Auditoriums, Maximum Integration

WAVE Group of Charlotte, N.C., designer for building-wide AVL systems at Copper Pointe Church in Albuquerque, N.M., submitted the church’s project in the WFX 2011 Solomon Awards under the category of “Design, Installation and Operation of an Audio, Video and Lighting System, 801-2,000 seats.”

In the process of building a state-of-the-art facility that integrated multiple auditoriums—with the possibility of each being used in coordination with one another—staff at Copper Pointe Church engaged the services of WAVE Group to design all A/V/L systems. Another need, according to the church, was to create an auditorium that would be conducive to supporting its progressive, creative church culture, including the integration of the arts in every way.

WAVE reportedly came alongside the church’s creative team, taking into account extreme budget restraints, and helped design and build a system that has exceeded Cross Pointe’s expectations.

Cross Pointe representatives report that WAVE Group became partners in ministry and an extension of its staff members in ways. “Not only was their experience and expertise useful in the A/V/L design and installation, but their knowledge of every part of the construction project helped greatly in the timing and integration of A/V/L with the rest of the project,” reps reports.
