Elite Screens, Inc. announces its newest concept in educational products, the Versawhite front projection material, a dry-erase material that functions as a projection screen and a whiteboard writing surface. Available in two different formats, a hard-framed traditional whiteboard or a pliable adhesive projection screen, it’s ready to convert any office wallspace into an instructional projection screen and writing surface.
“A regular whiteboard is not designed for use with projectors. They have no color neutrality and the gloss from its writing surface gives too much glare.,” says David Rodgers, marketing manager, Elite Screens, Inc. “The Versawhite material really adds a new concept to educational facility integrator and now you can have it in a rigid or pliable variant for whatever the installation may be.”
Versawhite is designed for training facilities such as classrooms, houses of worship, conference or boardrooms. The 1.1 gain matte white material is designed for use with interactive and full or short-throw projectors. It is coated with a durable scratch-resistant optical nanotech resin which allows the Versawhite material to fulfill its dual role as a dry-erase writing surface. In addition to this, the screen’s surface is smooth enough to erase all markings yet matte enough to avoid hot-spotting. Lastly, Versawhite provides wide diffusion uniformity with clear color reproduction expected from a precision designed projection screen but not from a regular whiteboard.
The Versawhite screen material is currently available in two different Elite Screens products, the Whiteboardscreen Universal and the Insta-DE Screen. The Whiteboardscreen Universal is like a traditional classroom whiteboard that negates the need to buy a whiteboard and projection screen separately. To date, there are 58” and 77” models with 4:3 (NTSC) aspect ratios and a 94” variant in a 16:9 (HDTV) aspect ratio.
The Insta-DE/DEM Screen is a pliable whiteboard surface with an adhesive contour padding that will allow it to convert any brick, drywall, magnetic or glass portion of office space into a functional presentation area. There are two variants of this product. The Insta-DE Screen features an adhesive backing while the Insta-DEM has a magnetic backing for attachment to ferromagnetic surfaces. The Insta-Screen DE/DEM is covered by Elite’s new VersaWhite 1.1 gain matte white material. Its dry-erase surface is coated with a scratch-resistant optical nanotech resin to be durable for many years of use.
Insta-DE Screen products come in 52” & 84” with 4:3 (NTSC) aspect ratios, 85”-102” in 16:9 (HDTV) aspect ratios, 78”-95” in 16:10 (WXGA) aspect ratios and a 4’ x 10’ conventional presentation model is available as well.
