WFX Announces Launch of Unite Worship Conference

Worship Facilities Conference & Expo Atlanta 2012 to feature event designed for everyone involved in worship experience

Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX) announces the launch of Unite, an event designed to serve the entire team involved in creating worship. Presented by WFX, a leading event for church leadership, tech teams, and worship teams, Unite National will debut September 19-21, 2012 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia, in conjunction with WFX Atlanta 2012.

Unite will also produce three regional conferences in 2012: September 24-25 in St. Louis, Missouri; October 1-2 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and October 8-9 in Greater Boston, Massachusetts .

Unite has been developed in consultation with church leaders, worship teams and tech teams who feel called to teach skills and approaches that can help transform worship in the local church. Unite purposefully avoids a focus solely on the worship team or leader. Rather, Unite emphasizes all roles (Pastor, Tech Team, Worship Team) and the need to be “united” in planning, purpose, and execution. This event does not strive to define worship styles, but respects and supports the unique flavors of all churches.

Unite has been specifically developed to serve ministry roles, whether full-time, part-time, or volunteer, including: Senior or Lead Pastor, Technical or Media Director/Pastor, Worship Leader or Pastor, Worship Team (musicians and vocalists), Music/Choir Director, and Tech Team Members (audio, video, graphics, and lighting).

In addition to emphasizing practical training, engagement, and community in medium and smaller-sized churches, Unite will create face-to-face relationships with experts, manufacturers, and solution providers; influence the “whole” worship team including the pastor; and motivate, encourage, and equip teams with the tools and skills to create intentional worship.

Unite will be hosted by Dennis Choy, Pastor of Communication and Production, North Coast Church. The Unite educational program will feature over 60 Conference sessions in the following tracks: Leadership Development, Vocals, Drums, Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Audio, Visual Worship, Lighting, Camera, and Projection.

Unite will kick off the morning of September 19, 2012 with a time of worship and leadership teaching with Rick Muchow, Worship Pastor, Saddleback Church, and supported by a faculty of worship leaders passionate about teaching to and for the local church. Faculty speakers include Walker Beach (Gateway Church), Thomas Miller (Gateway Church), and Jermaine Rodriguez (Westover Hills Church). In addition, Unite draws from leading educators such as Ben Gowell, Bob Sorge, Norm Stockton, Ed Kerr, and Sheri Gould.

Unite is uniquely sponsored by manufacturers, suppliers, and consultants dedicated to the highest standard of quality and service for houses of worship. Sponsors of Unite understand the passions, challenges, and rewards encountered and experienced by those charged with the responsibility of supporting and leading worship. Unite sponsors include AE Global Media and Compassion International.

Registration for Unite will be available in February. For information on exhibiting and sponsorship opportunities, contact Laura McDermott at lmcdermott@ehpub.com or (508) 663-1500 x267.
