Two Ontario, Canada, women, made their first skydive on June 29, 2013, to help fund bicycles for pastors in India who minister to remote areas.
The expedition of Dany Dias, 44, and Janine Jalbert, 59, is posted on www.MyGFA.org/leap, where their goal of raising $1,100 for bicycles already has been met and has increased 10 times to $11,000. MyGFA.org is a new section of the Gospel for Asia (GFA) website where anyone can promote a unique GFA ministry support effort.
"We are emotionally overwhelmed at the response of financial support from many people," says Jalbert. "To go from a goal of 10 bicycles to 100 bicycles has taught us that anyone can do anything as long as it is left in the hands of the Lord."
"Without a bicycle, brothers in Asia will sometimes walk for hours to be able share the love of Jesus with people in the surrounding villages. These gifts will mean so much to them," says K. P. Yohannan, Gospel for Asia founder and president.
