HDK-73

The HDK-73 camera is the latest addition to Ikegami's Unicam HD camera series. Featuring new F12 high sensitivity 2/3-inch CMOS and High Dynamic Range using HLG as standard, the HDK-73 provides exceptional picture quality in a multi-format cost-effective camera system, making it an ideal choice for House of Worship applications.

The HDK-73 camera is the latest addition to Ikegami's Unicam HD camera series. Featuring new F12 high sensitivity 2/3-inch CMOS sensors and High Dynamic Range using HLG as standard, the HDK-73 provides exceptional picture quality in either 1080i or 720p in a cost-effective camera system, making it an ideal choice for House of Worship applications. The video processing DSP includes the functions Ikegami is known for to optimize color reproduction and detail in the picture.  This allows the HDK-73 the ability to easily reproduce a wide range of colors in worship environments and provide a truer reproduction of lighting and stage sets, including sets with LED displays.  The addition of an optional moiré reduction filter can further reduce unwanted moiré patterns when shooting large LED displays if desired. Included with the HDK-73 are key new features such as Ikegami's Quick EZ Focus assist and CAC (chromatic aberration correction).  Quick EZ Focus assist makes it easy for camera operators of any level of experience to quickly find focus in a HD work flow.  This feature is user intuitive and provides a very distinct enhancement to the viewfinder signal to enable the camera operator to make critical focus adjustments easily.  This provides even novice operators the ability to deliver pristine video every time.  The addition of CAC (chromatic aberration correction) enables the camera to minimize the loss of resolution and color edge when using budget minded lenses. Also included is HLG (hybrid log gamma) for High Dynamic Range (HDR) picture origination.  This feature allows the camera to faithfully reproduce a wide range of environments where interior theatrical light and exterior natural light would normally clash. Additionally, it enables excellent reproduction of theatrical and concert style lighting in high contrast designs without losing gradation in the highlights.  HDR provides that extra "wow" factor to High Definition video making the video presentation of worship services more immersive and life-like. The HDK-73 has docking style construction allowing studio configuration with fiber or triax base stations, as well as self-contained operation for wireless or onsite recording applications. Fiber configurations include a choice of SMPTE or OpticalCon connectors for flexibility and affordability. The camera cable distance with SMPTE cable and connectors is 3300 feet, with power provided from the base station. The OpticalCon solution reduces cost, although the maximum cable distance with OpticalCon is reduced to 1000 feet. Both fiber solutions support long distance transmission (more than five miles) using a pair of SM fibers, with power provided locally for the camera head. The HDK- 73's digital triax system features extremely low latency over a distance up to 3,300 feet on triax. In addition, all three base stations are compact (1.5 RU) and lightweight. Control of the HDK-73 is provided using a range of control panels from the simple joystick OCP-10 to the sophisticated touch screen OCP-300. Control panels can be connected direct to the base stations. Assignable Ethernet connection is also available on Ikegami's newest camera system.
