Community's website says their R-series loudspeakers are weather resistant. But even tornadoes in Kansas are apparently no match for the durability of these speakers.
This year’s storm season in Kansas was one of the most destructive on record. On June 11, 2008, a massive tornado tore through Chapman, Kansas, damaging or destroying well over half the town’s buildings and knocking down utility poles on the football field of Chapman High School.
While much of the field was a total loss, school officials powered up the Community R-Series loudspeakers to find every one working perfectly, thus giving a whole new meaning to the term "weather resistant."
