The 2012 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) in Washington, D.C., has elevated 105 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession. AIA Dallas announces that four of its members were elevated to Fellowship, including church architect and founder of Dallas’s HH Architects, Jerry Halcomb.
The work of the Fellows demonstrates the power of architecture to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges, such as stewardship of water resources, community transformation, and international innovation in education.
Halcomb and the 2012 Fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2012 National AIA Convention in Washington, D.C. this May. Out of a total AIA membership of more than 80,000, there are fewer than 2,700 professionals distinguished with the honor of fellowship and honorary fellowship.
