For members of Cedarcrest Church, Easter weekend held special meaning beyond the significance of the holiday as they celebrated the grand opening of a new facility.
The 29,000-square-foot church includes a 550-seat worship center, a café, two children's worship rooms, a separate building for student worship services and classes, and 14 classrooms.
Atlanta-based Brasfield & Gorrie began construction in March 2012 and completed the house of worship in time for the holiday celebration. Croft & Associates architects of Kennesaw, Ga., served as the architect of record on the project.
"Brasfield & Gorrie has been privileged to work with Cedarcrest Church to help make their church vision a reality. Our hope is that the new facility is one all members will be excited to attend," says Keith Johnson, regional vice president with Brasfield & Gorrie.
