Elation LED Video Panels

Lightweight, transparent and features IP65 rating and daylight viewing capabilities

Elation Professional’s new lightweight, transparent IP65-rated LED video panels are designed for creating vibrant video screens, curtains and backdrops. The panels are available in three versions: medium-resolution SMD Tri-Color, EVLED 1024SMD (20mm pixel pitch); medium-resolution RGB Discrete LED, EVLED 1024 (18.75mm pixel pitch); and low-resolution RGB Discrete LED, EVLED 256 (37.5 mm pixel pitch).

Created for concerts, stages, touring productions and special events, the EVLED panels feature an integrated rigging/hanging system that allows users to assemble any size LED video screen, large or small. Up to 16 pieces can be linked on one AC circuit, and as many as 1,000 pieces can be run from one Ethernet video output using Elation’s ELED VSC driver (sold separately), which can run two outputs to two screens simultaneously.

With brightness up to 5,500 nits, the EVLED panels are fully viewable in daylight for displaying video at outdoor festivals, concerts and events that take place before sundown.

“One of the biggest trends today in lighting and production is the convergence of lights with video, so we designed the EVLED panels to serve as the perfect ‘pixel screen,’” says Eric Loader, director of sales for Elation Professional. “These transparent LED panels are extremely bright, yet they’re also very compact, lightweight and easy to set up, which makes them great for touring and rentals. They can be used anytime, anywhere, since they’re daylight-viewable and rated at IP65, meaning they’ve been tested to withstand dust and rain for outdoor applications. Plus, they’re priced very affordably.”

Each panel features a rugged aluminum alloy frame and rubber compound gasket, so should a pixel ever get damaged, the user can simply remove and replace the strip, without having to go to the expense of buying an entire new panel.

With each tile measuring 2’ x 2’ x 3” (2’1” x 2’1” x ‘3” for the 1024SMD) and weighing 10-20 lbs., Loader says the panels pack up easily and take up very little space in the truck. “You can fit enough EVLED panels in just two road cases to build a pretty good-sized screen, whereas with conventional box panels it might take as many as 10-15 cases,” says Loader.

The EVLED panels include on-board electronics and a built-in multi-voltage power supplies (90-240V). Their long-life LEDs are rated at 100,000 hours, and they come with a two-year factory warranty.
