J. R. Clancy Launches Churchrigging.com

Website assists with planning a rigging system for worship spaces

Now there’s a website to help church production professionals and architects choose the right rigging system for their houses of worship.

Faith organizations can visit www.churchrigging.com, the new website created by J. R. Clancy, Inc., to understand the value of rigging in worship and production spaces, and to determine what kind of rigging—manual, automated, or a combination of the two—is the best choice for their new or existing production facility.

“Rigging systems let you incorporate dramatic motion into your worship and productions, or simply provide easy access to equipment for maintenance,” says Tom Young, J. R. Clancy vice-president of marketing. “But many people in church production need guidance in deciding what kind of rigging is best. These people need the expertise and project management skills J. R, Clancy can provide, to ensure that they choose the most useful, appropriate, safe and effective rigging system for their application.”

The website provides a basic explanation of rigging systems and their uses; definitions and diagrams that explain manual winches, counterweight and automated rigging; and quick links to more information about products, pricing and specifications for architects.

Based in Syracuse, NY for 124 years, J. R. Clancy is a leading designer and manufacturer of rigging systems for theatres, performing arts centers, concert halls, schools and televisions studios. The company has a long history of working with faith-based organizations, with projects including Lakewood Church in Houston, the Convocation Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City, the studios of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines, and Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago.
